Challenge #1 - Anything Goes

The challenge is "Anything Goes" this can be interpreted in many ways.  You may like to
make a gift, card, jewellery,  bake a cake  ......... the choice is yours.

For all those taking part in our first challenge we have a little 'gift' for one lucky winner, who
will be chosen at random.  Below are our projects so you get the general idea.

We look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations, don't forget you can add a link to your
design using Simply Linked or by emailing us with a photo attached.

Just link your creations to us by using Inlinkz below before 11.59 pm 30th April NZ time to take part and be in with a chance of winning some lace and ribbons.

My hobby is Pergamano/Parchment Craft, all work is done on vellum, using tools to make perforations, embossing and snipping.  It is very intricate work, taking many hours to finish an item.  The particular card I have here is done on a metal grid then worked, the stag in the centre is freehand colouring done with oil based pencils.  This craft is very rare in New Zealand, so you can imagine I am very excited to show people, and hopefully raise more interest in this hobby, or maybe meet other parchers.

Here is a pair of fingerless mittens I knitted for a great-niece and also a beanie for a great-nephew

Here is a bag I  made a few weeks ago for my daughters friends 13th birthday for the blog.

It the first bag I've ever made without pattern and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Inside the bag I included a "Teen Emergency Kit". It included:

A pretty notebook and pen, for when that special boy wants to give her his number.
A block of chocolate for when he doesnt ring or to celebrate when he does.
A $5 note for emergency phone call, bus fare or emergency chocolate.
And a nice body spray, some hand cream, a packet of tissues, a small compact mirror, hair ties and some pink lip gloss, because who know when a girl might need to look her best in a hurry, or just need a wee pick-me up :o)

I hear the newly hatch teenager was very happy with it, and I had fun making it.

I used to do handicrafts all the time but now RA has put a stop to that, the photo I'm sending
was one of my last efforts. I like all sorts but can't knit, i still browse through the craft sites,
still love the creativity in the world.
Thanks rose
